Luxury Accommodation...

Lipachlairy takes full advantage of its natural setting to enjoy extensive views of the sea, the village of Port Ellen across the bay, the sandy beach at Kilnaughton and the Island skerries of Islay’s eastern seaboard.

Surrounding the cottage the land has been left in its natural state as a habitat for wild flaura and fauna for which Islay is renowned. Our wild life includes an impressive number of bird species including the rare hen harrier and the much-loved sea otter. Whatever your pleasure Lipachlairy provides a unique venue whose design has been inspired by our love of Islay and is bound to enhance your holiday making it a memorable experience.

The Interior...

Lipachlairy has been designed to a high specification including under floor heating throughout, supplied by a Mitsubishi Ecodan Air Source Heat Pump.  Entertainment systems include LCD Flatscreen TV, HD Freesat, WiFi. A selection of reference books and OS maps is provided. All fixtures and fittings are of the highest standard.

Visitors can also enjoy looking out from the well equipped and functional kitchen, separated from the living areas by an oak-topped bar, providing a space which is a pleasure to work in. Inside the dining area enjoys panoramic scenes from bay windows and direct access to covered decking for al fresco eating. The sitting area is designed to emulate the snugness of dwellings past with a log burning stove set on a slate hearth and a small feature window by the fireside creating a sense of protection during the wild Hebridean winters.

Maximum Comfort...

Access to Lipachlairy is from a covered rear porch area, leading into a hallway through large aluminium clad glass doors. Off the entrance hall, a utility room contains all the essential appliances. The open plan kitchen is fully equipped with fitted units, composite work surfaces, all modern appliances, walk-in pantry and feature display cabinet.

All essential modern appliances are provided including dishwasher, fridge freezer, with a separate spacious utility room off the entrance hallway, housing the washing machine and tumble dryer keeping laundry and living areas segregated.

A Great Nights' Sleep...

Lipachlairy sleeps four in one kingsize with ensuite and a twin bedded room. The bedrooms have large windows to maximise the views and, as throughout the cottage, benefit from under floor heating. There is an ensuite walk-in shower and a house bathroom, both tastefully fitted out in modern, contemporary style.

Towels and extra bedding are provided for your comfort.
